My 20-Month Weight Loss Journey: 8 Principles That Worked
I'm excited to share my weight loss journey over the past 20 months!
I've lost 16 kgs by focusing on a balanced lifestyle. Here are the 8 principles that guided me:
- Always eat greens/savoury before sweets/fruits.
- Balance wheat and rice with millets as much as possible (no maida allowed!).
- Avoid eating within 3 hours of bedtime.
- If you're feeling hungry every 3 or 4 hours, check your protein intake.
- Try fasting for 16 hours every fortnight to help avoid cancer (our ancestors called it ekadashi 😊).
- Commit to a 60-minute exercise of your choice at least 3 days a week (and no, walking doesn't count!).
- Make sure to get 7+ hours of sleep, ideally at the same time each day.
- Allow yourself to enjoy a fun day with friends, at least once a week.
